The Braitmayer Foundation supports programs that enhance the education
of K-12 students through curricular and school reform initiatives,
professional development for teachers, and local community efforts.
Its grants, which range in size up to $35,000, are to be used as seed
money, challenge grants, or to match other grants to the recipient
organization. For grant requests larger than $10,000, applicants
should submit an original version and seven copies of the following
documents: a two-page letter of inquiry that describes the project and
its timeframe, a proposed budget, and proof of 501(c)(3) status.
Grants of up to $10,000 also are available; see the foundation's web
site for more details.

The foundation supports pluralism and equal opportunity in its grant making and in its internal policies. The opportunities that prospective grantee organizations provide for minorities and women are considered in evaluating proposals.

Applications are considered throughout the year. Normally applicants may expect to receive within six weeks an indication of whether their proposals are within the foundation’s program interests and budget limitations. Activities supported by grants and program-related investments must be charitable, educational or scientific, as defined under the appropriate provisions of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code and Treasury Regulations. The foundation monitors grants through regular financial and narrative reports submitted by the grantee.

New applicants should submit a one-page letter of inquiry to determine if a project falls within our guidelines. Letters of inquiry may be submitted throughout the year, but must be received at least two weeks prior to the corresponding proposal submission deadline.

Grants range from $500 to $25,000 annually


The Irwin Andrew Porter Foundation accepts a limited number of proposals for multi-year and matching grants.

Requests for funding are accepted year-round. Applicants will receive acknowledgement of the receipt of their application and a Board Member will contact the organization if additional information is required. Applications for U.S.-based grants are reviewed bi-annually in December and June. International projects are reviewed annually in June. Application deadlines are the second Friday in October for a December review and the second Friday in April for a June review.

Incomplete proposals will not be reviewed.

No re-submissions will be accepted within twelve months.

Pentair Foundation
What: The Pentair Foundation provides funding for education and community initiatives where Pentair has operations.  Education funds go for school to work, alternative education and arts education initiatives. Community grants go for job training, entrepreneurial training, at risk youth, health care and disabilities.
